LONDON.- Sotheby’s London announces the opening on January 10th 2011, in partnership with awardwinning gallery The Lightbox, of an exhibition featuring sculptures and sculptors’ drawings from a major collection of 20th Century British Art, The Ingram Collection. LEEDS.- Birdman, a life-size sculpture by acclaimed artist Elisabeth Frink (1930 – 1993) has gone on display at Leeds Art Gallery. Valued at £250,000, the unique plaster maquette was given to Leeds through the Art Fund by the Frink Estate and Beaux Arts London. LEEDS.- The city of Leeds, known for its rich collection of 20th century British sculpture, has acquired its first piece by acclaimed British artist Elisabeth Frink (1930 – 1993) thanks to a major gift.
