ALLENTOWN, PA.- Closed for almost a year while undergoing major renovation and expansion, The Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley announced it will reopen its doors to the public on October 16, 2011. The $15.4 million expansion and renovation project, designed by the renowned architecture firm Venturi, Scott Brown and Associates (VSBA) and constructed by Alvin H. Allentown Art Museum’s Famous Kress Collection Artworks to be De-Installed

ALLENTOWN, PA.- On June 21, 2010, in preparation for the museum’s expansion and modernization project, the Allentown Art Museum will close the Founders Gallery temporarily for the de-installation of the Kress Collection. The Collection, which encompasses a superb group of Renaissance and Baroque paintings and sculpture, will go into storage for the duration of the project.
