WINSTON-SALEM, NC.- Reynolda House Museum of American Art has invited members of the media to attend a special preview of “Things Wondrous & Humble: American Still Life,” a new exhibition showcasing treasures from the Reynolda House Museum of American Art collection accompanied by key loans from museums and private collections across the state. The exhibition opens to the public Saturday, Aug. 10.

To announce the new exhibition, the museum is offering a preview to media on-site at the museum and online via its social channels on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. By following the hashtag #reynoldapreview, writers, reporters, producers, and editors can share preview images and information with their followers.

“With fewer staff who are focused on the arts, traditional media outlets are having a more difficult time allocating resources to events like our media previews,” said Sarah Smith, director of marketing and communications at the museum. “So with ‘Things Wondrous’ we’re bringing the preview to them.”

Members of the media can participate either by going to the museum, or by searching #reynoldapreview on Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Museum staff, including curators and program directors, will be available for interviews in person and to answer questions submitted online. Media are invited to share and re-tweet this preview content.

Reynolda House Museum of American Art is one of the nation’s premier American art museums, with masterpieces by Mary Cassatt, Frederic Church, Jacob Lawrence, Georgia O’Keeffe and Gilbert Stuart among its collection.
