CAIRO (AP).- Archeologists have unearthed 57 ancient Egyptian tombs, most of which hold an ornately painted wooden sarcophagus with a mummy inside, Egypt’s Supreme Council of Antiquities said Sunday. The oldest tombs date back to around 2750 B.C. during the period of Egypt’s first and second dynasties, the council said in a statement. LEONIA, NJ (AP).- A cartoonist whose syndicated comic strip “The Dropouts” ran in more than 100 newspapers during the 1970s has died in New Jersey. Howard Post was 83. Post died Friday at a care facility in Hackensack and was buried Monday. His daughter Andee Post says he’d recently been hospitalized with kidney failure. Post’s comic strip ran from 1968 to 1982.
