NEW YORK, NY.- Leading American Art dealers on the Upper East Side will open their doors for the Just Off Madison Spring Gallery Walk, on Wednesday, May 19, from 4–8pm. Coinciding with the American art auctions at Sotheby’s and Christie’s, Just Off Madison gives American art enthusiasts a chance to discover even more museum quality pieces while taking a leisurely stroll down Madison Avenue. The participating galleries offer a rich and diverse selection of American paintings, sculptures, and works on paper, from the nineteenth century through the mid-twentieth century.

Betty Krulik of Betty Krulik Fine Art coordinated this special viewing so that collectors, curators, and others with a strong interest in American art can, between the auctions, easily access and enjoy fresh inventory at private galleries. Krulik explains, “As private dealers, most of us operate by appointment. We saw an opportunity for an event during American Art Week in New York, in which our clients, collectors, curators and colleagues could visit our galleries on an informal basis. Now the event is a fixture of American Auction week, twice yearly. Our clients look forward to it!”

All participating galleries are located along East 69th through 79th Streets between Fifth and Madison Avenues and include Avery Galleries, Betty Krulik Fine Art, Conner Rosenkranz, Debra Force Fine Art, Franklin Riehlman Fine Art, Hawthorne Fine Art, Jonathan Boos, Kraushaar Galleries, Lois Wagner Fine Arts, Martha Parrish & James Reinish, Menconi & Schoelkopf Fine Art, and Meredith Ward Fine Art.
