Singapore – Riding on the wave of rising interest in Korean Art, a K Pop-Art explosion will hit SBin Art Plus this October. Korean Pop Art will feature the works of 6 Korean contemporary artists in a myriad of art mediums that show the creative depth of expressions of each artist.

The line-up includes Bahk Seon Ghi, Goh Geun Ho, Lee Jae Hoon, Lee Jae Sam, Lee Sung O and Park Insane each of whom has enjoyed international success having been exhibited and acquired by collectors from across the globe from Tokyo, to Shanghai, to Dubai, to London and Los Angeles.

Goh Geun Ho’s steel sculptures strike a nostalgic chord with resemblance of toys before the digital age; Lee Jae Sam’s scenes in the quietness of charcoal; Lee Sung O’s interpretation honouring a great master presented through a mixed medium of clay on canvas; and Bahk Seon Ghi’s installations stand solidly in a boldness of black or a serene white, juxtaposed against a stark background.

Korean Pop Art runs from 30 September through to 31 October. The gallery is open from 11.00 am to 7.00 pm from Tuesdays to Saturdays, 11.00 am to 5.00 pm on Sundays and public holidays and is closed on Mondays. The exhibition is held at SBin Art Plus at 140 Hill St. MICA Building #01-10/11/12 Singapore 179369. Contact number: 6883 2001.
