DENVER (AP).- Federal land managers announced a final decision Monday approving Christo’s art proposal to suspend 5.9 miles worth of silvery, translucent fabric over a stretch of the Arkansas River, with measures aimed at protecting bighorn sheep and other wildlife. DENVER (AP).- Artist Christo’s plan to suspend huge fabric panels over parts of the heavily rafted Arkansas River in Colorado is largely intact under a version federal land managers identified Thursday as the preferred alternative for the project.
