Modernist outsider Borys Kosarev’s exhibition opens at The Ukrainian Museum

NEW YORK, N.Y.- The first comprehensive exhibition of avant-garde artist Borys Kosarev was presented in New York City at The Ukrainian Museum which opened December 4 and is on display through May 2, 2012. Borys Kosarev: Modernist Kharkiv, 1915-1931 includes 82 works on paper by Kosarev, an outsider of the Eastern European Modernist movement and a survivor of Stalin’s intellectual purges in 1930s Ukraine. STOCKHOLM.- This autumn’s major exhibition at Nationalmuseum, The Peredvizhniki – Pioneers of Russian Painting, opens on 29 September. Sweden’s first ever exhibition dedicated to this group of artists features over 100 pieces on loan from the State Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow and the State Russian Museum in St Petersburg.
