Known for using gritty, vernacular building materials such as concrete, dirt, and steel, the artist has created a new site-specific installation using the building’s substructure as source material. He is considered to be the leader of the new generation of hyperrealist artists working internationally today. Kathryn Kanjo Named Chief Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego
